Busy Busy Bees

September and October have proven to be very busy for the Creamer family. On top of Kyle traveling every week, one of my best friends got married in Charlotte, we've made a couple trips to Alabama for different reasons, MDO started for Mason, and to no surprise...the cold has attacked each member of the family.

Mason has become quite a mommy's boy over the past few weeks. I hope in 20 years he still embraces this instead of being embarrased by it!! I have been blessed beyond measure to have the opportunity to spend my time at home with Mason, and I have loved every minute of it.. well mostly every minute of it. I have started to notice a trend... Mason does something he KNOWS he isn't supposed to do (e.g. hit Cali in the eyeball), I laugh about it behind his face, Kyle tells him "no" and he comes running to mommy for sympathy. I know everyone is saying.. THIS IS SUCH A TERRIBLE HABIT, and I am fully aware of that. Which is why starting NEXT week I am going to get stricter with him. This is where my laid back attitude has not been such a good thing. It's my biggest struggle yet with mommyhood.

Like I said earlier, Mason started MDO in September. It is the same place he went last year (Brentwood Baptist) and it was such a good experience for him and me. I highly encourage kids to get involved in these programs.. I think he has learned a lot of practical skills from it (e.g. share your toys with others) and it gives me a chance to get A LOT done.

This is actually his second day of going... Kyle had to take him his first day and didn't understand the importance of this memory. My sister even made him a cute outfit just for the picture.

My birthday was in September, and my amazing friend Laura planned a special day for me at Arrington Vineyards. My camera battery died so I didn't get a lot of pictures, but I did get one of the boys playing. Her son, Ben, is 5 months younger than Mason.

One of my best friends from diapers tied the knot a couple weeks ago and I had the opportunity to be part of her special day. I am so grateful that Kyle's parents kept Mason for the weekend, so Kyle and I were able to get away to a new town (well new for me) and enjoy friends and family without chasing a toddler around.

We've had a great fall so far and I CAN NOT wait for the holidays to begin! New blogs coming soon...

Mag and Em's WHOO party

Sweet little Maggie and Emily turned two this past weekend. Mason loved celebrating with them, and he especially loved playing in their back yard because it has a swing! My sister went with an owl theme, which was super cute. Here are some pictures from the party:

All the kids were fascinated by the stream. Later I found out it was because there was a snake down there. YIKES.

Happy Birthday Maggie and Emily!!

My Little (well big) Tiger

I took Mason to Auburn last year, but he was so young and couldn't even walk yet, so we were somewhat restricted in what we could really do. This year I thought "He will LOVE seeing the campus that mommy and daddy went to, downtown where mommy used to shop, and the Toomers trees that daddy helped try and save". I had high hopes for this year's campus tour. Who better to hang out with Mason and I for the day than my brother, who is perhaps..no definately.. the biggest Auburn fan there is.

Toomers Corner is known for it's lemonade (although nothing rivals Chik Fil A's diet lemonade). This is second best. I expected Mason to love it, but to my surprise he spit it right out. Guess some things are too sweet even for toddlers.

The Toomers trees are a long standing tradition at Auburn, and since they are expected to die before next year, I HAD to get a picture of Mason with them.

Look who we found while waiting to take pictures!

We stopped at Samford lawn to let M play. Sometimes kids baffle me. He had an entire field to run and play in.. yet what does he choose to play with? His stroller!?

He did love the big clock... he says "tock tock"
Here are some other pictures of the day, which include a stop at the new basketball arena. Wish it made our basketball team better, but hey at least it is pretty!

Unfortunately the pictures stop here because Mason decided he had enough fun for a day and zonked out immediately after this. We didnt even make it to the stadium where he may one day play football...guess there is always next year! War Eagle!
